WOODVILLE, WI – Here is the report on the 22nd Annual Woodville Halloween Festival that was held last Saturday, October 28, 2023. There was a killing frost on the ground in Woodville, Wisconsin the morning of the 28th and that may have scared some kids and their families away from attending this fun annual Halloween Festival event.
That certainly was a sharp contrast from the warm weather of 2022 for the 21st Annual Woodville Halloween Festival where the costume contest was held outside. Not so this year. But despite the chilly start to the day, it was warm and enchanting inside the United Fire and Rescue – Woodville Station for the 2023 22nd Annual Halloween Festival that went from noon to 3:00 p.m.
According to Diane Gedatus, Childcare Director at Kids View Childcare at Park View who is also the lead coordinator for the St. Croix Area Volunteer League who puts on the Annual Woodville Halloween Festival that the attendance this year was down considerably from past years. The St. Croix Area Volunteer League also puts on Santa’s Workshop in Woodville that will be held on Saturday, December 9, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Lion’s Den. The Volunteer League also organizes the Annual Woodville Easter Egg Hunt in the Spring too. They are always welcoming more volunteers to join them in providing so much joy to the area children. Give Diane a call if you are interested in joining the Volunteer League.
