SPRING VALLEY, WI – Sometimes a win comes at just the right moment.

The Spring Valley baseball team got a much-needed win this past Monday after losing three straight last week in conference play. The win could set the Cardinals up for a first-round victory as they beat Clear Lake on Monday and face Clear Lake today (Thursday) in the opening round of the WIAA tournament.

Valley had dropped three straight conference games prior to the non-conference win this past Monday. The regular season finale leaves the Cardinals with a 7-11 overall record, 6-8 conference mark. The record gave the Cardinals a #7 seed in the Region and a home game with Clear Lake today. The winner will travel to face #2 seeded Flambeau on Tuesday, May 28, 2024, and a win there would mean the next game would be on Wednesday, May 29.
