Football travels to Cadott Friday after topping Lakers

TURTLE LAKE, WI – There is hardly ever perfection in a football game. Missed blocks, turnovers, penalties, missed tackles or coverages are all things that happen during a game. Some of it is never noticed, some are the difference between winning and losing a game.

The 8th ranked Spring Valley football team didn’t play a perfect game last Friday in Turtle Lake in winning 42-20. But they may have played one of the most perfect quarters.

The Cardinals took their opening kickoff and promptly marched right down the field with little resistance from the defense. Six plays after the kickoff, senior Trevor Forster ran into the end zone for a 15-yard touchdown run. Isaac Koenig’s PAT kick gave the Cardinals an early 7-0 lead, just three minutes into the game.
