SPRING VALLEY, WI – The Spring Valley baseball team continues to find ways to both win and lose, and unfortunately for the Cardinals it was more of the latter last week.
Valley fell at home in a back-and-forth game with Durand on Monday and followed it up with a struggle against Elk Mound last Friday to fall to fourth place in the conference with a 3-3 record. Elk Mound (5-0), Mondovi (5-1) and Boyceville (4-1) are ahead of the Cardinals and Valley traveled to Mondovi this past Monday (results in next week’s newspaper).
Durand 7, Spring Valley 6 – The Panthers struck both early and late in this game to take the win away from the Cardinals.
