BALDWIN, WI – The Baldwin-Woodville Blackhawks were defeated by the St. Croix Central Panthers (SCC), 54-21. The Blackhawks couldn’t seem to find momentum on either side of the ball in their loss to the Panthers.

Baldwin-Woodville kicked off to SCC to open the competition. The Panthers advanced the ball on the ground across the field in a brisk fashion. SCC opened scoring on a 24-yard rushing touchdown, 7-0. The Blackhawks struggled to move the ball and were forced to punt. SCC controlled possession the rest of the first quarter methodically moving the ball downfield. The Panthers scored again to end the first quarter, 13-0, the point-after was no good.

SCC kicked off to Baldwin-Woodville to follow the Panther score. The Blackhawks fumbled and SCC recovered. The Panthers soon after scored again on a short rushing touchdown, 19-0. Baldwin-Woodville’s offense returned to the field gaining momentum on a long quarterback Cal Smith to Gavin Sell pass and reception but failed to sustain their drive being forced four-and-out. The Panthers also struggled to gain ground on their next possession, punting the ball away which was returned for a 79-yard touchdown., 19-7 Panthers lead. SCC responded with another touchdown of their own closing out the first half, 25-7.
