SPRING VALLEY, WI – The Spring Valley-Elmwood Cub Scouts, Pack 145, would like to thank the Spring Valley community for their support of our Second Annual Dam Days Lemonade Stand! Thanks to the generosity of our community, the Scouts will get to attend both the Spooky-Ree Overnight Camp this fall at Camp Kiwanis and the Polar Cubs Day Camp this winter at Phillipo Scout Camp. These experiences will be all the better for the Scouts knowing that they earned them!

The community’s donations will also help with service projects the Scouts are working on with the Spring Valley Health and Rehabilitation Center (the nursing home) and the Spring Valley Food Pantry.

The Scouts would also like to thank the Spring Valley Lions Club and Mooney’s Rusty Horse Bar & Grill for providing the bounce houses for our Dam Days fundraiser.

Lastly, the Scouts would like to thank the community that attended the Flag Ceremony on Saturday, September 21, 2024, morning.  It was a rainy but beautiful ceremony, led by Eagle Scout Sam Miller, Cub Scout Pack 145 and the Rickerd-Danielson American Legion Post 227. A Flag Ceremony honors the American flag as the symbol of our country and all of the hopes, dreams, and people it represents. The flag from the Veteran’s War Memorial site was respectfully retired, along with others from the Village, and a new American flag was raised in its place on the new flagpole.

There is still time to join Scouts for the 2024/2025 school year! If you are interested in Scouting, please contact Cub Master, Jacob Proue at jproue125@gmail.com.
