Eugene Charles Schoeder, age 77 of Spring Valley, Wisconsin, died Friday January 12, 2024, at The Neighbors of Dunn County in Menomonie.
Eugene was born in Red Wing, Minnesota and was raised on a farm in Spring Valley, Wisconsin. Eugene attended Spring Valley Schools. Upon his completion of high school, he enlisted in the Navy and proudly served his country from 1963 to 1967. During his time in the Navy, he was stationed in San Diago, California for one year and two years in the Philippines. Eugene was honorably discharged in 1967.
After his time in the Navy, he began traveling around the U.S. working various jobs and saving up money to continue his adventures. He eventually settled down in a small apartment in Menomonie, Wisconsin where he lived out his days of retirement.
Eugene loved spending time with his family and friends. He was a very creative man and could often be found working on and/or designing various unique projects. His hobbies included dancing, playing Bingo, and reading.
He is survived by his daughter Belinda Schoeder and granddaughter Amber Schoeder, his brothers Vernon (Marian), Jerome (Rita) and Bernard (Selba) Schoeder, and his sister Marcella Schoeder (Dunn).
He is preceded in death by his mother Rosalia Schoeder (Schladweiler), his father Frank Schoeder, his uncle Elmer Schladweiler, and his sister Marion Schoeder (Sitter).
