PLUM CITY, WI – How a team responds after a loss is the true testament of their character. The Spring Valley football team rebounded after a tough loss at Cadott with a 27-22 win over Elmwood-Plum City (E-PC) here last week. The Cardinals were in a must-win situation if they want to hold onto a share of the Dunn-St. Croix Conference (D-SC) title, and when it came down to it, they made the plays to win.

The victory over the Wolves moved Valley to 7-1 overall, 5-1 in conference play. That record has the Cardinals in second place behind an undefeated Boyceville squad that comes to the Dam tomorrow night. This game has been on the radar all season long as Boyceville wants the conference title outright and the Cardinals are reluctant to let go of their grasp of the crown.

It wasn’t easy getting to this game though as the Wolves gave the Cardinals all they could handle throughout the game.
