Girls’ hoops team drops trio of games, still looking for first win

SPRING VALLEY, WI – The Spring Valley girls’ basketball team continues to struggle with getting a consistent complete game as they keep working towards their first win of the season. The team has had spurts of success, followed by struggles with ball control and making shots, which has hampered the team all season long.

Valley lost a trio of games this past week, dropping to 0-5 on the season as they head in the start of their conference schedule with home games against Boyceville this past Tuesday and Glenwood City on Friday night, followed up with a game next Thursday on the road at Colfax.

Clear Lake 54, Spring Valley 28 – It was the first game back into action for senior Charli Vanasse and junior Audrey Mathison. Vanasse made her presence felt immediately, scoring 11 points in the losing effort while pulling down seven rebounds.
