SPRING VALLEY, WI – After local resident Joe VandenBerge suggested the idea of a fish fry to his fishing buddies Tim and Teresa Foslin, a plan was put together to host a fish fry for local organization Staying Put.
The three spent several afternoons catching walleyes on the river, and with some success fishing, the date was set. On Saturday, June 29, 2024, with beautiful weather, Tim and Teresa Foslin got to work setting up their turkey fryers at Handy Andy Park.
The menu included a delicious battered and fried walleye, seasoned French fries, homemade coleslaw and freshly baked cookies. With the food hot off the fryer, attendees lined up to get a plate of the delicious meal.
