BOYCEVILLE, WI – Taking a group of players of various ages and abilities and getting them to work together as one unit is the goal of every team. And while it might seem like it happens all the time, the plain truth is that it doesn’t.

Spring Valley Head Basketball Coach Rob Bosshart, though, has been getting that success for years. His players buy into the team concept and working for each other, sacrificing their own personal glory – and oftentimes even their own bodies – for the best interest of the team. The cheering from the bench and players on the team when one of their own takes a charge from an opposing player is just one small microcosm of that concept. Another big measure of that concept is balanced scoring and assists – giving up the opportunity to score for someone else’s chance.

The Spring Valley squad, similarly, to previous years, exemplifies that goal of playing for each other. The team is coming off a pair of wins last week with some of those very things showing. The wins improve Valley to 13-4 overall and 7-1 in the Dunn-St. Croix conference.
