PLUM CITY, WI – On Monday, December 18, 2023, at approximately 5:04 p.m., the Pierce County Sheriff’s Office was notified of a two-vehicle accident with injury on US Highway 10 near First Street in the Village of Plum City, Wisconsin.
It was determined that a 2015 Chevrolet Equinox being operated by a Jean Vance, 79 years old from Menomonie, WI had been traveling southbound on First Street when she crossed US Highway 10 and struck a 2022 Chevrolet Silverado being operated by a Jacob Hendricks, 25 years old from Durand, WI that was traveling eastbound on US Highway 10.
Ms. Vance was trapped in her vehicle and had to be extricated from it. Ms. Vance was transported by Maiden Rock-Plum City EMS to Advent Health in Durand WI, with undetermined injuries.
Mr. Hendricks was not injured in the accident.
The Pierce County Sheriff’s Office was assisted on scene by the Plum City Fire Department, Elmwood Fire Department, Maiden Rock-Plum City Ambulance and Ellsworth EMS.
