BALDWIN, WI – Western Wisconsin Health is excited to welcome Dr. Christopher E. Ott, M.D., to our growing Women’s Health team! With over 20 years of experience in obstetrics and gynecology, Dr. Ott brings a wealth of knowledge and a deep passion for patient-centered care to our community.
A Wisconsin native, Dr. Ott earned his Bachelor of Science from the University of Wisconsin – Madison before obtaining his Doctor of Medicine from the Medical College of Wisconsin. He then completed his residency at the Medical College of Ohio, where he further developed his passion for obstetrics and gynecology.
Coming from a family of healthcare providers, Dr. Ott initially envisioned a career in surgery, blending his love for art and science. However, during medical school, he found his niche in OB/GYN—a specialty that allowed him to combine surgery with general medicine while building long-term relationships with his patients. He values the opportunity to guide women through different stages of life and believes in the importance of proactive healthcare.
Dr. Ott spent 16 years practicing in Wisconsin before joining Minnesota Women’s Care in the Twin Cities. His passion for rural healthcare and small communities brought him back to Wisconsin, where he is committed to providing high-quality care in areas where medical services are increasingly scarce.
“I feel OB is such a happy specialty,” Dr. Ott shared. “I wanted to bring people into the world, not send them out. I also enjoy working with patients who are engaged in their health—it makes such a difference in overall wellness.”

Outside of medicine, Dr. Ott enjoys spending time with family and his two beloved Great Pyrenees dogs. A lifelong supporter of the arts, he expresses his creativity through drawing, painting, and photography. Music is another passion—he plays guitar and drums for relaxation and has recently taken up piano lessons to challenge himself. He values lifelong learning and embraces new experiences both in and out of the medical field.
Dr. Ott is now seeing patients at Western Wisconsin Health for a full range of women’s health services, including Prenatal and Obstetric Care, Well-Woman Exams, Menopause Management, Contraceptive Counseling, Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery, Infertility Evaluation and Treatment, Hormone Therapy, Pelvic Pain and Endometriosis Care.
