CMSgt Larry James Langer, USAF (Ret.), 70, returned home to the Lord on Saturday, September 23, 2023.

Larry was born on September 29, 1952, in Baldwin, Wisconsin to the late Bernard and Clarice Langer. He graduated from Spring Valley High School in Spring Valley, Wisconsin and later, graduated with a bachelor’s degree from Rutgers University. He honorably served his country for 28 years with the United States Air Force, retiring as a Chief Master Sergeant. A faithful servant of Christ, Larry loved Jesus and serving his congregation by ushering at Harvest Church in Byron. He loved and adored his grandchildren, always a very active participant in their lives and coached their ball teams whenever he could. In his free time, Larry was an avid Green Bay Packers fan and enjoyed spending time with his close circle of friends, especially for their coffee outings. He will be dearly missed by all those who had the pleasure of knowing him.

In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by his sons, Adam Langer and Eric Langer, and the mother of his children, Patricia “Patti” Moore.

His memory will forever be treasured by his children, Nancy Brunn (Jason) of St. Francis, Minnesota, Sarah Barnes (David) of Kathleen, Georgia, and Josh Langer (Moriah) of Warner Robins, Georgia; grandchildren, Carson Barnes, Brooklyn Barnes, Addison Barnes, Daxton Barnes, Everett Barnes, Isla Barnes, Jaylan Langer, Ezekiel Langer, Jeter Langer, Corbin Brunn, and Grady Brunn; and siblings, Tom Langer, Julie Finch, Steve Langer, Diane Krause, Kathy Timm, Sandy Langer-Wood, Teresa DeGross, Marsha Morford, and Joe Langer.

A Celebration of Life service was held at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, September 29, 2023, at The Farmhouse at McCullough Funeral Home. A memorial gathering followed from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at The Farmhouse. As Friday was not only Larry’s Celebration of Life, but also his birthday, the family respectfully requested everyone come in casual dress, preferably in the color blue.
