Track teams earn points at Durand Invitational, conference meet next week

DURAND, WI – Taking advantage of a rare day of clear skies and actual real springtime weather, the Spring Valley track team competed well at the Durand Invitational here last week.

The Cardinals had some of their best scoring of the season with just a few meets left in the season before the regional and sectional track meets lead to the WIAA State Track Meet.

The Cardinal girls’ team finished the meet in seventh place with 57 points. Winning the meet on the girls’ side was host Durand with 120 points, followed by Mondovi (96.5), Baldwin-Woodville (91.5), E-PC (84), Colfax (73.5), Boyceville (70.5), SV (57), Glenwood City (43) and Alma-Pepin (31).
