HAMMOND, WI – Just when the weather was turning for the better, the golf season ended for the Spring Valley golf team.
The Cardinals competed at the WIAA Regional Golf Tournament hosted by Baldwin-Woodville at Pheasant Hills Golf Course here. The Cardinal team is a co-operastive with Elmwood-Plum City, which puts the Cardinals in division two for the WIAA tournament. That means the Cardinals are golfing against bigger schools with tougher competition.
The Regional had nine teams competing with the top four teams advancing to the WIAA Sectional in Rice Lake at Turtleback Golf Course. The top four individuals not on those top four teams also earn the chance to advance to the Sectionals as well.
