SPRING VALLEY, WI – In May 2024, mother-son duo Kris and Tommy Cummings were baking pies for a cause: to raise money for the MS (Multiple Sclerosis) 150 bike ride that took place in Duluth, Minnesota on June 8 and 9, 2024.
After four other local high school kids, and several family and friends began to join in and signed up for the ride, the group closed out their pie baking careers – having baked over 200 pies for friends, families, neighbors, coworkers, teachers, and people who read about them. Altogether, the group was able to raise $3,000 – enough for all of them to participate in the ride.
On June 8, the group embarked on the 150-mile journey from Duluth, Minnesota to White Bear Lake, Minnesota. Every single one of them was able to cross the finish line.
