WOODVILLE, WI – The Woodville GarageBar has announced plans for an exciting 1st Anniversary Party this weekend on Friday, October 13 and Saturday, 14, 2023. The Party will be including live entertainment on Friday and Saturday night and a Cruisin’ Fall Car Show on Saturday from 9-2 p.m.

The Woodville GarageBar opened on August 31, 2022, and this week was named Best Bar by voters in the Best of Baldwin-Woodville Readers’ Choice awards.

“This past year has been tremendous and we’re so thankful for the support from the local community and the great team we have in place to take care of our customers,” said Jeff Swanson, co-owner of the bar along with his wife, Heather Swanson.

“We believed we could bring delicious food, a great selection of beer and drinks, and an awesome lineup of musical entertainment, and we’re doing just that. But we also believe we’re just getting started. We’ve upped the amount of entertainment this year and have plans for continuing to bring new and fun acts to the GarageBar. We also introduce new limited menu items every month (Burger of the Month) and have brought back our popular Friday Fish Fry (with an offering of cod, catfish or salmon). And we’re giving back to the community and will continue to offer support to local organizations and activities that help make Woodville a special place to live.”

Live musical Entertainment each night of the First Anniversary Party!
Nick Anderson and The Skinny Lovers take to the GarageBar stage on Friday, October 13. Founded in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, this alternative rock/90s band has earned themselves several top honors for their original music. They charted number 1 and number 8 hits on independent radio and have their songs licensed by MTV, E!TV, NETFLIX, Discovery Channel, and more. They have opened for country superstar Jordan Davis, and Sam Llanas (formerly of the Bodeans), and have amassed nearly 400,000 streams on Spotify alone.

Local favorite Crabgrass Band wraps up the weekend on Saturday, October 14. This 5-piece regional band covers country, pop and rock classics and everything from Van Morrison and Neil Diamond to Billy Idol and Billy Joel. They are friends to the bar and the perfect band to help celebrate what has been an incredible first year.

Cruisin’ Fall Car Show on Saturday (9-2 pm)
New this year is the Woodville GarageBar Cruisin’ Fall Car Show, sponsored by the Tri-County Cruz’rs and Gully’s Auto Glass. The show runs from 9-2 pm in downtown Woodville with a pancake feed from 9-11 a.m. at the GarageBar. There will be $250 in cash prizes awarded to the “Best of” winners along with dash plaques and trophies. Prizes will be awarded at 1 p.m.

In addition to the events, the GarageBar will have raffle drawings each evening during the live music with giveaways and other fun items.

Kathy Litzell-Lange Named General Manager
On the heels of being named Best Bar in the region the Woodville GarageBar has officially named Kathy Litzell-Lange as its General Manager. Litzell-Lange has been with the GarageBar team since day one, leveraging her 30+ years in the industry to create the kitchen and bar menus, organize the facilities, and lead the team responsible for delivering the GarageBar promise of an awesome customer experience.

“We found a true partner in Kathy and we’re so fortunate and blessed to have her on our team,” said Swanson. “Getting ready for our anniversary and being named Best Bar, this just seemed like the appropriate time to announce her promotion and to thank her for all she’s done to help guide the GarageBar over this past year. And like I’ve said, we’re just getting started.”
