VILLAGE OF ELMWOOD – The Elmwood Area Community Club (EACC) held their 3rd Annual Fall Family Fun Day on Sunday, October 8, 2023, at Butternut Park. With cool weather, fall was in the air for the event that began at 11 a.m. Many community members lined up to ride the hay wagon through town. It was decorated brightly with fall colors and of course, aliens.
The EACC served up a delicious spread including homemade chili, Sailer’s hotdogs and brats, cookies, carrot cake, hot chocolate and smores. Over 36 quarts of chili were gone by 1:30 p.m., and over 100 brats and hotdogs were given out.
There were also plenty of crafts for the kids to make and take home, including tissue paper leaves, pumpkins, foam cut outs and more. When they finished crafting, Facepainting by Denise was on site for free Halloween face painting. Attendees could also view an apple press demo and get a taste of fresh pressed hot apple cider!
