SPRING VALLEY, WI – While it’s early in the conference schedule, the Spring Valley volleyball team continues showing that they do not plan on just giving up the D-SC title easily.

The Cardinals topped a tough Mondovi team here last Tuesday with a commanding 3-0 win. The Cardinals fell behind at times in some of the games to the Buffaloes, but solid defense, a secure attack and just a core belief propelled the Cardinals to victory.

Valley topped Mondovi by scores of 25-16, 25-10 and 25-15, and during the match senior Bella Stein notched her historic 1,000th defensive dig in leading the defense and team. Stein had 23 digs in the match while Ella Stangl and Addison Nelson had 13 and 11 each to help the cause as the team combined for 62 digs behind Stein’s leadership in the win.
