SPRING VALLEY, WI – Staying Put, Inc based in Spring Valley, Wisconsin is seeking Board Members for the 2025 term. Staying Put coordinates volunteers to help seniors and adults with disabilities maintain their independence. We bridge the gap between medical and government resources in the rural tradition of neighbors helping neighbors.
In addition to offering transportation to medical appointments, local errands, and more, we offer several activities to promote socialization and community throughout the year. Currently, we serve seniors and adults with disabilities within the school district boundaries of Spring Valley and Elmwood which include two villages and ten townships that bridge parts of Pierce, St. Croix, Dunn and Pepin counties.
If you are passionate about making a difference in your community, have a desire to “give back,” and would like to connect with others who share your ideas and values, a board member position may be right for you.
The Board of Directors meets monthly on the second Tuesday of the month in person or via Google Meet for approximately two hours. Board members may also serve on committees and attend special events as their time allows. The term length is three-years with optional renewal; total of six consecutive years.
