ELMWOOD, WI – Santa visited Elmwood on the afternoon of Saturday, December 2, 2023. Arriving in style in a Belgian horse drawn wagon, he delighted over seventy-five children during the two-hour event. As Santa posed for pictures with the kids, each one was able to take home a jam-packed goodie bag, prepared by his helpers in the Elmwood Area Community Club (EACC). Besides delighting the kids, Santa even had a visit from two of his four-legged friends who posed for a picture with him.
Besides seeing Santa, families lined up to take a spin around town with the Belgian horses, spent time crafting sock snowmen, Santa advent calendars, and more! To finish off the afternoon, a very serious snowball competition took place, with the kids being the clear victors. After a fun afternoon, an entire spread of delicious sugar, peanut butter, and shortbread cookies were enjoyed along with over six gallons of milk!
To finish the day off, the tables were moved and reset for a wonderful evening of lasagna and music provided by some talented University of Wisconsin – RF students. With over forty people in attendance to listen to the music and enjoy the meal, a wonderful time was had by all. The menu included delicious home cooked lasagna, salad, and garlic toast. Following the dinner was a delicious spread of desserts – including pies made by Simply Simon, and a selection of Italian inspired cakes made by Bo-Jo’s Creations.
