ELMWOOD, WI – Hundreds of people gathered at the historic Elmwood Auditorium on Saturday, December 16, 2023, to celebrate a momentous occasion – Jim “Cubby” Baier’s 80th Birthday party. With mild weather for December other than some fog, as soon as the doors opened at four p.m., there was a steady stream of friends, family and well-wishers come to celebrate with “Cubby.”
While the night was about Jim, he still managed to support three fantastic groups in the community, the Community Club, the Elmwood Fire Department and the Elmwood American Legion.
A $3 door fee bought attendees a trip upstairs, and all proceeds from the entrance fee went to the Elmwood Area Community Club (EACC) to help support the community activities they hold. In addition to the door fee, many patrons donated extra, allowing the group to take the final envelope on the Village Christmas tree and sponsor a family for Christmas.
