SPRING VALLEY, WI – The #1 seeded Spring Valley football team allowed the opposing team to score for the third straight game. The good news is that despite that, Valley has won their last three games, including last week’s 42-7 win over Whitehall in the WIAA Level 1 playoff game.
The win helped the Cardinals advance to Level 2, which will pit the Cardinals against 5th seeded Glenwood City, winners on the road over #4 seed Blair-Taylor 40-25. Valley topped the Hilltoppers in the final regular season game 23-3.
Whitehall opened the game with a drive that started on their own 35-yard line and ended with a touchdown from the one-yard line by Norse sophomore Bo Killian. The drive racked up 65 yards and three first downs and the extra point kick gave Whitehall a 7-0 lead just 3:30 into the first quarter. Whitehall was known for a big ground game coming into the game and the opening drive proved that.
