SPRING VALLEY, WI – With just six games left in the regular season, the Spring Valley girls’ basketball team is starting to put some things together and jelling as a team on both ends of the floor. That is just where you want your teams to be at this point in the season, playing their best basketball.

The Cardinals got a split last week with a win over Glenwood City and a loss to Colfax, but the team got solid play in both games. The split leaves Valley with a 5-13 overall record and a 5-5 conference mark.

The Cardinals were on the road last week with a non-conference game this past Tuesday in Osceola as well as a return to D-SC play Thursday in Mondovi. Valley will also host Elk Mound on Tuesday, February 6 before traveling to Durand on February 9. Elk Mound is currently 16-0 and ranked sixth in division three in the state. Although every team ahead of them has at least one loss as do the other teams in the top 10.
