BOYCEVILLE, WI – The young Spring Valley/Elmwood wrestling team wanted to finish their regular season on a winning note last week in order to prepare for the WIAA tournament this weekend.
The Cardinals got good luck in the drawing of weights and used the matchups to their advantage in a 42-30 win over Boyceville on the road here last week.
The teams drew a starting weight of 285 pounds and when Boyceville selected their wrestler for that weight the Cardinals quickly countered to try to take advantage of the weight class.
