Arlene Elva Traynor, age 94, of Woodville, WI, passed away peacefully on May 20, 2024 at Parkview in Woodville. Arlene was born on December 3, 1929, to her loving parents, Earl and Lela Bennett. She graduated from Elmwood High School and married Roy Traynor on July 18, 1946. Together they had five children.
On top of being a mother, Arlene worked alongside her husband as owner of various cafes in Spring Valley before they opened Roy’s Café and Bar in Woodville. Arlene later began working at McMillans.
Arlene’s favorite pastimes were reading the newspaper and watching sports, her favorite being the Twins, Packers, and Brewers. After retiring, Arlene continued her labor by assembling parts at home for Arrow Plastics in Baldwin.
Arlene was a fierce and tough woman, but her family meant everything to her. Her unwavering love and support for her loved ones knew no bounds, and she always saw the best in everyone. Arlene is survived by her children Duane (Cindy) Traynor, Richard (Janis) Traynor, Nancy Traynor, and Susan Traynor; grandchildren Jeff (Jill) Traynor, Jodi (Marcel) Schwendimann, Michelle (Tim) Harris, Aaron Traynor, Jason Traynor, Jacob Traynor, Brenda (Kirby) Carpenter, Brent (Julie) Traynor, Lisa (Casey) Rhea, Craig Larson, Catina Larson, Joseph Halvorson, and Kimberly Halvorson; many great grandchildren and even a few great great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband Roy Traynor; son Bob Traynor; sisters Evelyn (Clifton) VanRiper, Beulah (Bernard) Babcock, Elizabeth (Wayburn) Gedatus, and Shirley (Ray) Hollerud.
Funeral services for Arlene Elva Traynor were held on Friday, May 24, 2024, at Zion Lutheran Church in Woodville. The visitation was from 10-11am with a service that began at 11am. Interment followed at Sunset Cemetery.
