SPRING VALLEY, WI – It was a roller coaster of a week for the Spring Valley boys’ basketball team as they won a pair of non-conference games, but suffered a tough defeat on the road in a conference game.
The week left the Cardinals with a 9-2 overall record, 4-1 conference mark within a tie for first place with Durand. The Cardinals returned to D-SC action this week with a game at Elmwood-Plum City in Elmwood this past Tuesday while hosting Boyceville at home tomorrow night. The Cardinals also host Osseo-Fairchild in a non-conference tilt on Monday, January 27, 2025, and Glenwood City on Thursday, January 30.
Spring Valley 82, Luck 32 – Everything that could go right in a game did for the Cardinals against Luck. Valley never trailed in the game from the opening score to the final buzzer. Spring Valley connected on 61% of their shots from the floor, hitting on 34-of-56 shots, including going 9-for-16 from three-point range. Valley held Luck to just 19% shooting, going 10-for-52 from the floor. The Cardinals scored 46 points in the paint.
