DURAND, WI – As the regular season is winding down for the Spring Valley volleyball team, the expectations are ramping up. Last week Valley took control of the conference with wins over previously unbeaten Elk Mound and Mondovi. The Cardinals kept their foot on the pedal this past week with a conference win at Durand and combined it with some tough matches at the Amery Invite last weekend to keep honing their skills.

Valley sits with a 10-7 overall record and a 6-0 conference mark and sole possession of first place. With just two matches left in conference play against the two teams at the bottom of the conference, the title is Valley’s to lose, but then again stranger things have happened so let’s not talk about it anymore.

“Amery Invite”
Prescott 2, Spring Valley 0 – The Cardinals topped the Cardinals in this match by scores of 25-14 and 25-12. Valley had 14 kills and 17 attack errors in the match out of 56 attacks. Teams don’t win when they have more errors than kills. Sophomore Addison Nelson had 13 assists on those 14 kills.
