BOYCEVILLE, WI – This game had been on the minds of everyone in the D-SC since the beginning of the season, for some maybe even longer. It didn’t disappoint as the two heavyweights in the Dunn-St. Croix slugged it out to a 19-18 Spring Valley win and an outright lead in the chase for the conference title.

Every season the Cardinals set certain goals in mind to achieve along the course of the season. The first goal is always to secure a playoff berth, which the Cardinals did a few weeks ago. The next step is to win a conference title, which Valley claimed at least a share of with the win last Friday. The third goal is to try to get home field advantage in the playoffs, which also looks like a high possibility for the Cardinals with an undefeated record so far.

Head Coach Ryan Kapping would be the first to say that the job is not done yet, there is still business to attend to Friday night with the final regular season game at Glenwood City, who would love to spoil the Cardinals unblemished record.
