SPRING VALLEY, WI – The Spring Valley Area Chamber of Commerce held their annual Holiday Dinner on Wednesday, December 13, 2023, at the Spring Valley Community Center. With over 19 different business and groups represented in the area, the group of almost fifty met for a social hour, and delicious Italian style dinner provided by Bonnie’s Catering of Glenwood City, Wisconsin. Following the dinner, officers of the Chamber provided a presentation to reflect on the accomplishments of the Chamber over the past year.
Vice President, Luann Emerson, gave a recap of the events in the last year. The Chamber hosted their first Dam Days event with “Meet Spring Valley” and due to the inclement weather over the 4th of July, the Chamber sponsored fireworks show took place on that same Dam Days Friday night.
For the first time in over 10 years, the fireworks budget was increased, thanks to the fundraising efforts of the Chamber and the generosity of the local business community. The Chamber also introduced a new holiday event this year, “Shop Spring Valley” designed to promote shopping local this holiday season, followed by a tree lighting ceremony with Dr. Gary Lukes doing the lighting honors, featuring a new holiday tree in downtown Spring Valley.
