ELMWOOD, WI – The newest history center location of the Pierce County Historical Association (PCHA) is now open for visitors in downtown Elmwood, Wisconsin. The new location, whose lease was officially signed on August 1, 2023, was a longtime coming said PCHA Secretary Julie Huebel.
“For a couple of years now we have been looking at expanding. We have our main office in Bay City, and one in Prescott that serves the Prescott Chapter of the PCHA. Having an office in this area geographically made sense for us to have representation on both sides of the county.
“We will be opening this as a satellite office to our main one in Bay City. We feel this will allow us to better serve the community in terms of proximity to their areas and it will also allow us to tap into a wider network of volunteers that spans the entire county. Additionally, we were in dire need of more space to house our collections and the eastern side of the county provided the most economical option for our organization.”
