ELK MOUND, WI – The Spring Valley girls’ basketball team only has a limited number of players this year, and when injuries and illnesses, which are inevitable in the winter months, take hold of a team, well, the effects can be devastating.

Valley struggled in losses to Clayton and South Shore, as well as on the road at Elk Mound here last week in a return to Dunn-St. Croix Conference action.
