MONDOVI, WI – The Spring Valley girls’ basketball program is about to witness a historic milestone, this time from one of their own players.

Senior Mara Ducklow is on the verge of becoming the first player in the history of the girls’ program to break the 1,000-point barrier, but it will be an uphill battle this week against two of the toughest defensive teams in the conference in Elk Mound at home this past Tuesday and on the road at Durand tonight.

The Cardinals struggled in a pair of losses last week on the road to non-conference foe Osceola  and Mondovi. The pair of losses drop the Cardinals to 5-15 on the season, 5-6 in the Dunn-St. Croix Conference.
