Hornets sting Cardinals 16-8, Valley tries to rebound tomorrow at E-PC

CADOTT, WI – When you are standing on top of the hill, everyone wants to knock you off. That’s been the case for the Spring Valley football team over the past decade – always vying for a conference title. Of course, that means every team you play is going to give you everything they’ve got.

Well, the fifth ranked Cardinals got all they could handle here last Friday, September 29, 2023, from a physical Cadott team and came out of the game on the short end of the scoreboard for the first time this year, 16-8 for the Cadott Hornets on their homecoming night.

“We didn’t do a good job of handling their physical play the other night,” said Head Coach Ryan Kapping. “The best way to overcome that is by executing what you normally do at a high level and we did not do that.  Cadott played a tremendous game so credit to them.”
