SPRING VALLEY, WI – Finishing the regular season on a winning note is always the goal for coaches, so that their team is playing at a peak level at the right time of the season.

The Spring Valley girls’ basketball team is doing just that, coming off a non-conference win over Cumberland here last Tuesday as well as on the road in Plum City last Thursday as well.

The wins improved the Cardinals to 7-17 on the season, 6-8 in conference play. Valley traveled to New Auburn this past Tuesday for the WIAA opener. Upon winning the Cardinals will either travel to Luck or Siren for the second-round game tonight. Valley is the #13 seed in the WIAA Regional, New Auburn is the #4 seed.
