Marilyn Marie Monson, 76, of Woodville, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on August 20, 2025.
Born May 2, 1949, in Baldwin, Wisconsin, Marilyn was the daughter of Dale and Donna (Wernlund) Meyers. She was a Baptized, and dedicated follower of Jesus Christ, and lived her life in a way that touched everyone she met. She showed the light of Jesus to this world in a special and personal way through her hospitality and loving nature.
On November 14, 1968, she married Daniel Monson in Woodville, WI this union was blessed with six children. Marilyn and Daniel began their life together on a farm outside of Glenwood City, Wisconsin. On December 25, 1975, they found their forever home, a farm in Woodville, WI where they resided until her passing. She was a dedicated wife and partner in all things.
She was instrumental in the family farm. She provided for her family with a large garden, canning, quilting and sewing. She worked for 24 years in food service for the Baldwin-Woodville School District. She loved to travel to see other churches, visit friends and family, and explore new places. She was a mom, a grandma and a friend to everyone she met.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents, Dale and Donna Meyers; her son, Jonathan; and her sister-in-law, Deborah Meyers.
She is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Daniel. Five children, 11 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren: Priscilla (Wesley) Robinson, WI; Lydia (Jim) Staats, WI, and their two children Zachariah and Ashley (Colton) Foerderer, ND, their three children, Dusty, Misty, and Roger; Andrew (Marsha) Monson, ND, and their two children, Macy and Megan; Naomi (Guillermo) Arango/Monson, NC, and their three children, Andy, Sophia, and Dylan; Rachel (Christian) Nelson WI, and their four children, Ezra, Hannah, Ezekiel, and Kezia. She also survived by her three brothers, Larry (Valerie) Meyers, David Meyers, and Paul (Maxine) Meyers.
A visitation will be held Sunday August 31, 2025 from 1-2 p.m. and 3-5 p.m. at Zion Lutheran Church (Fellowship Hall), 221 N. Lockwood St. Woodville, WI. A tribute to Marilyn will be conducted at 2 p.m. to honor her memory. The tribute will be live streamed in the Fellowship Hall of Zion Lutheran Church and via Facebook on the Church of God Woodville, WI Facebook Page. Private family burial September 2 at Glenwood Cemetery.
