Hey, Woodville! On Saturday, June 29, 2024, the 2024-25 Syttende Royal Court of Princesses (1st Princess Jessica Albers, 2nd Princess Addisyn Wichelman, and 3rd Princess Adeline Haugen) and I went to Clear Lake for their Annual Heritage Days.
We went to the Miss Clear Lake Queen’s Tea where we took pictures with the different photo booths, and we rode through their Traditional Grand Parade. There were tons of people for us to wave at! We had a great time taking pictures with our Woodville Leif Erickson float and other Sparkle Sister Courts there.
After the Queen’s Tea and Grand Parade, we went to Irma’s Place Restaurant on Hwy 63 in Clear Lake, where we got lemonades. The owners Stacy and Sasha say they love bringing good food to friends and family. “Our Grandma Irma was a matriarch who understood the importance of community. Delicious food always brings people together!” And the lemonade was delicious!
They were giving a deal on drinks for Royalty, and some of the proceeds even went to the Miss Clear Lake program!
It was a short, but fun weekend! We had a lot of fun spending the day together again. We hope you are enjoying your summer, we sure are!
