WARRENS, WI – Hey Woodville! This past weekend, Sunday September 29,2024, the 2024-2025 Syttende Mai Royal Court (Princesses Jessica Albers, Addisyn Wichelman, and Adeline Haugen) and I traveled to Warrens for their 51st Annual Cranberry Festival!
On the drive down, we got to watch many heads turn in other cars to look at our imposing Dragon float.
When we arrived in Warrens, we went to the Queen’s Tea, where we got to hand out many of our 2024 Syttende Mai buttons to the Sparkle Sister Courts we haven’t met before. We even got to meet the Westby Syttende Mai Court! We enjoyed talking for a while and compared our bunads (traditional Norwegian outfits). We took a picture with them. It was fun to meet another Syttende Mai Royalty Court!
Warrens is host to the World’s Largest Cranberry Festival and 2024 marks the 51st Annual Celebration. Founded in 1973, the Village of Warrens with a population of 543, welcomes more than 145,000 visitors. The Cranberry Festival draws people from around the world.
We walked along the shops in Warrens after the 51st Annual Cranberry Festival Parade and saw lots of cute crafts. We tried some cranberry saltwater taffy, which was really good. It was a great parade to end our season on, and I would like to thank everyone who has shown us their love and support for us!
In October, we will be at the Anoka Halloween Festival in Minnesota, “the Halloween Capital of the World!”
