SPRING VALLEY, WI – Staying Put, the local non-profit dedicated to helping seniors “stay put” in their homes, offered a fun Halloween party on the morning of Tuesday, October 31, 2023.
Seniors were invited to dress up and visit the Staying Put office for a spooky coffee clutch and other fun activities including hot apple cider, treats, a showing of the movie “Beetlejuice” and a Halloween mad-lib. Ten volunteers and clients attended the event, followed by an evening of the staff greeting over twenty trick and treaters who ventured up and down McKay Avenue.
Kendall Vingua, Advancement Director said, “The idea was to do something that would be fun – for both clients and volunteers, while reminding the community that we are here. While we haven’t always had holiday themed events before, it’s a great way to treat our clients and volunteers, while also letting the community learn more about our organization.”
