SPRING VALLEY, WI – Despite the freezing temperatures, on Thursday, January 18, 2024, Staying Put Inc. held their semi-annual senior dance at the Spring Valley Community Center. With a huge turnout, the Community Center was packed to listen to the country and folk music tunes provided by the Bobtown Boys.
In between some lively dancing by clients, volunteers, and community members, a delicious spread of cupcakes, brownies, meats and cheeses was available for snacking, and hot apple cider and coffee helped ward off the chill from outside.
During the musicians’ break, a special announcement was made. Kathy Nyeggen, who has been a longtime employee, volunteer and advocate for Staying Put formally retired on January 5, 2024, from her position as Volunteer/Client Director.
