BALDWIN, WI – There is the first of two recycling events scheduled for St. Croix County Residents coming up. The first FREE Electronics Collection Event is Thursday, September 11, 2025, 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the County’s Highway Facility 300 Oak Ridge Pkwy, Baldwin, WI 54002.

Bring your electronics to the county-sponsored collection event. Electronics will be accepted for FREE! All data will be destroyed, and equipment responsibly recycled in accordance with First Choice’s non-landfill policy.

This event is for St. Croix County residents only. By participating in these events, you’re not only decluttering your space but also contributing to the reduction of electronic waste, which is illegal to put in the trash. Join us at these free drop-off events and help us pave the way for a cleaner and greener tomorrow. Together, we can make a difference!

  • Televisions (all types)
  • Typewriters
  • UPS / battery backups
  • VCR / DVD players

*Not accepted at this event: batteries, appliances, and fluorescent bulbs.

Can’t make our special collection events? Bring your appliances or electronics to the Town of Richmond’s recycling center any Saturday throughout the year from 9am -1pm. Fees apply.

New! Free Scrap Metal and Appliance Collection Event — One remaining event in 2025 – Wednesday, October 8 from noon to 6:00 p.m. at the County’s Highway Facility, 300 Oak Ridge Parkway, Baldwin.

Join us for a special recycling event hosted by St. Croix County in partnership with Amery Auto Salvage. Bring any items or parts of items that are over 60% metal, including but not limited to appliances, aluminum cans, scrap metal, automotive batteries, copper, and other metals for free!

Limited staff and equipment will be available onsite, so please plan to unload your own items. If you have large items, please bring them to Amery Auto Salvage where they can assist with unloading. (All fuel and oils must be drained from equipment).

Do NOT bring fencing or spools of wire to the event – it causes problems with loading equipment. Please bring directly to, Amery Auto Salvage.

Prepare your appliances for drop-off:

  1. Cut cord.
  2. Remove glass and plastic from inside.
  3. Tape doors shut.

All proceeds will go directly to the St. Croix County Sheriff’s K9 Unit, helping to support their essential work in our community!
